The chapter officers and a few others met to discuss current tasks to complete and a date for officer elections.
We're still needing to complete our new membership paperwork and get the money into the Bursar's office. The appointed treasurer, Shawn Gieser, has taken possession of the chapter's finances. He is setting up time to meet with our advisor, Dr. Barasch, to get the signature card signed for the Bursar's office. He'll deposit the funds from the new members and initiate a payment to National HQ for those members. Our appointed Secretary, Feifan Meng, will notify National HQ of our new members and send in the payment.
Because we lacked a quorum, we postponed the elections for 2012/2013 officers until the first full week of the Fall semester.
There will be no chapter meetings during the Summer. However, Chris McMurrough and Feifan Meng will work over the summer to cull our Roster and setup an 'Available Members' list. This list shall consist of those members who are still students/faculty/staff at UTA. Note that this is not an active membership list. Such designation is specified in the chapter's Bylaws as those who attend all meetings. This may be a limiting designation which should be visited for amendment in the future.
Unfortunately, there was no pizza. The meeting adjourned.
