Joint Meeting with UTA Student Chapter Lean Manufacturing Presentation

Dewey Bowers is Plant Manager at the Grand Prairie, Texas plant for Sealed Air Corporation, which is the global leader in food safety and security, facility hygiene and product protection.  Sealed Air has over 24,000 employees worldwide and generated revenue of $7.8 billion in 2014 with widely recognized and inventive brands such as Bubble Wrap®brand cushioning, Cryovac® brand food packaging solution and Diversey™ brand cleaning and hygiene solutions that serves customers in 175 countries.

In addition to his Plant Manager responsibilities, Mr. Bowers is also the Supply Chain Product line manager for two product lines for Sealed Air’s North American operations: Cell-Aire® and Cellu-Cushion®.

Mr. Bowers has over 27 years of Lean manufacturing leadership and implementation experience in North America and Europe. He is a certified Green Belt, Black Belt, Master Black Belt and Lean Master. He also serves as a member of the Sealed Air Green Belt and Black Belt certification team, as he has certifications in lean manufacturing implementation that started back in 1988 with the Wire Mold group.

Dewey and his family currently reside in the Midlothian, Texas.  Before joining Sealed Air, Dewey received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Atlanta. Dewey also has a Degree from Howard Payne University, in Health and Physical Education/Fitness. He attended the IGA Graduate School, where he received his Lean Masters certification.
